Finestrat is in the Valencian Community: 10% VAT plus 1.4% stamp duty for deeds from 1 June 2026. With notary and registry fees, allow around 12% on top of the price.
Buying as a UK citizen
You can buy, but without a visa you can stay only 90 days in any 180, and a home does not give residency — the golden visa ended on 3 April 2025. You will need an NIE from a Spanish consulate. Banks typically lend non-residents up to 70%. Community fees usually run €40–120 a month. Alicante-Elche airport is about 57 km away.
